Part of Core
The field is where the record meets the pipe. One work order goes from the office to the field and back, and every reading returns verified at capture: who took it, when and where, signed on the spot. The record is made as the work is done, not typed up afterwards.

The round trip
01 · Office
The order opens
Raised against the asset, with the right form attached and access set by role.
02 · Field
Captured on site
Reading, photo, note and signature, taken at the asset rather than remembered later.
03 · Field
The queue clears
No signal is normal. Work continues offline and uploads when the truck finds coverage.
04 · Office
The record lands
Assembled as the work happened, attached to the asset, ready to be the compliance record.
Chain of custody
That is what makes the record defensible later. It is not added at the end; it is a property of every reading from the moment it is taken.
who
The person, with Operator Qualification (OQ) checked at assignment.
when
The moment of the reading, on the same clock as every other dataset.
where
The location at the asset, so the reading lands on the right foot of pipe.
What it does
The fields are the ones on your own sheet, in your own order, with the conditional logic the sheet already describes. Answer one way and the next field appears; answer the other and it does not.
The queue is the normal state, not the error state. Nothing is lost because a site had no bars, and nothing waits on the office.
The same order, the same form, the same record, whoever does the work. Access is by role, so each person sees only what their role allows.
