Privacy Policy

VeriCorr Inc. is a Texas-based company. This policy says what we collect when you visit our website or get in touch with us, what we do with it, who helps us handle it, and how to ask us to see, change or delete it. We do not sell your information.

1. What this policy covers

This policy covers our website, vericorr.com (“the site”), and the ways you contact us: the Get started form, our calendar booking page, email, phone, and meetings with our team. In it, “VeriCorr,” “we” and “us” mean VeriCorr Inc.

It does not cover data that our customers load into the VeriCorr platform. We handle that data for each customer under our signed agreement with that customer, and the agreement governs it.

2. What we collect

What you send us

When you fill in the Get started form, we collect what you enter:

  • your name, work email, company and role;
  • the parts of VeriCorr you want to look at; and
  • anything you write in the message box.

We also keep the consent wording shown beside the form and the time you sent it, so we have a record of what you agreed to.

When you book a meeting on our calendar booking page, we receive the name, email and any notes you give there. When you email, call or meet us, we keep what you tell us and our notes of the conversation.

Please do not send us sensitive information such as government ID numbers, health information or financial account numbers. We never ask for it.

What your browser tells us

  • How you found us. When you first arrive, the site notes the page you landed on, the website that sent you, and any campaign tags in the link (for example utm_source). It stays in your browser tab. It reaches us only if you send the Get started form, which sends it with your message.
  • Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to count visits to the site and see which pages people read. It uses cookies to tell one browser from another, and it records the pages viewed, the referring site, the browser and device type, and an approximate location worked out from the IP address. If you send the form, we keep your browser’s Google Analytics identifier with your message, so we can see which pages led you to us.
  • Your IP address. Amazon Web Services, which hosts the site, receives your IP address in order to deliver the pages to you, and Google receives it when the Analytics script loads. The form uses it for about 15 minutes to block automated spam. We do not store it with your message.

3. How we use it

  • To reply to you and talk with you about VeriCorr.
  • To keep a record of our conversations with you and your company.
  • To understand which pages are useful and to improve the site.
  • To keep the site and the form secure and to stop spam and abuse.
  • To meet our legal obligations and protect our rights.

We do not add you to a newsletter or a mailing list unless you ask us to. We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not use it to make automated decisions about you.

4. Who we share it with

We share your information with companies that help us run our business, and only what they need to do that work for us:

  • Attio, our customer relationship system, where we keep our records of you and your company, including messages from the form.
  • Google, for Google Analytics, our email and our calendar booking page.
  • Amazon Web Services, which hosts the site and the form.
  • Slack, where our team gets a short alert for each new message from the form, with your name, company and role and the parts of VeriCorr you picked.

We also share information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, sale or similar change in our business. If that happens, your information stays covered by this policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

5. Cookies

The only cookies the site sets are Google Analytics’ cookies. The record of how you found us is kept in your browser’s storage for that tab, not in a cookie, and is cleared when you close the tab.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings, and the site still works without them. Google offers a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics on every site: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The site does not change what it does in response to a browser’s Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your contact details and our conversations for as long as we have a business relationship with you or your company, and afterward only as long as we need them for our records, to resolve disputes or to meet legal requirements. You can ask us to delete them sooner (section 8).

7. How we protect it

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted connections to the site and access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise your information will never be exposed. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

8. Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct information that is wrong;
  • delete your information; and
  • stop contacting you.

To ask, email privacy@vericorr.com from the address we have for you, or tell us how to confirm who you are. You can also write to us at the address in section 13. We answer within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why within those 45 days and answer within 45 more. We do not charge for a request, and we will not treat you differently for making one.

Residents of Texas and of other states with privacy laws may have more rights under those laws, including the right to opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising and profiling. We do none of these. If we turn down a request, you may appeal by replying to our answer with the word “Appeal” in the subject line, and we will tell you our decision and our reasons in writing within 60 days. If you are not satisfied with our decision on your appeal, you may contact the Texas Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov.

Someone you have authorized can make a request for you if they show us that you gave them that authority.

9. Children

The site is for businesses and the people who work at them. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email privacy@vericorr.com and we will delete it.

10. Links to other sites

The site links to other websites, such as LinkedIn. Their own privacy policies apply there, not this one. Our calendar booking page runs on Google: Google’s policy covers Google’s use of what you enter, and this policy covers what we receive.

11. Where your information is kept

VeriCorr is based in the United States. The companies listed in section 4 store and handle your information in the United States and in other countries where they operate. Privacy laws there may differ from those where you live.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we will say so on this page before it takes effect.
