Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use the VeriCorr website. By using it, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Our website, vericorr.com (“the site”), is run by VeriCorr Inc., a Texas-based company (“VeriCorr,” “we” or “us”). These terms cover the site only: its pages, articles and the Get started form.
They do not cover the VeriCorr platform or any service we provide to a customer. Those are governed by the signed agreement between VeriCorr and that customer. If anything on the site differs from that agreement, the agreement controls.
2. Using the site
You may use the site to learn about VeriCorr and to contact us. You agree not to:
- use the site for anything unlawful, fraudulent or misleading;
- try to get into any part of our systems you are not allowed to reach, or probe, scan or test them for weaknesses;
- interfere with the site or put an unreasonable load on it;
- send spam, malware or automated submissions through the form; or
- pretend to be someone else, or misstate who you work for, when you contact us.
Search engines and other crawlers may index the site in line with our robots.txt file.
3. What the site shows
The product screens, readings and worked examples on the site use sample data. None of them describes a real pipeline, operator or customer.
The site and its articles give general information about pipeline integrity and about VeriCorr. They are not engineering, legal or regulatory advice for your system, and they are not an offer to sell. What VeriCorr provides to a customer, and on what terms, is set out in a signed agreement. Decisions about your own pipelines rest with your engineers.
4. Our content and trademarks
The site, its text, images, designs and software belong to VeriCorr or to others who license them to us, and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may view the site, share links to it, and quote short passages with credit to VeriCorr. Anything beyond that needs our written permission.
The VeriCorr name and logo are our trademarks. Other names on the site belong to their owners. Nothing in these terms gives you a right to use any of them.
5. What you send us
When you send us information through the form or by email, our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it. Please do not send us confidential information through the site. We do not treat what you send through the site as confidential unless we have agreed in writing to do so.
If you send us ideas or feedback about VeriCorr, we may use them without owing you anything for them.
6. Links to other sites
The site links to sites we do not run, such as LinkedIn and our calendar booking page. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Their own terms apply when you use them.
7. No warranties
THE SITE AND EVERYTHING ON IT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, VERICORR DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR FREE OF HARMFUL CODE.
8. Limit of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, VERICORR AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE. VERICORR’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ABOUT THE SITE, TAKEN TOGETHER, IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100).
Some states do not allow some of the exclusions and limits in sections 7 and 8, so they may not all apply to you.
9. If a claim is made against us because of you
If you break these terms or misuse the site, and a claim is made against VeriCorr because of it, you agree to cover the reasonable losses and costs, including attorneys’ fees, that VeriCorr incurs as a result.
10. Texas law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about the site or these terms will be decided only in the state courts located in Tarrant County, Texas, or the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Fort Worth Division, and you and VeriCorr agree to those courts’ jurisdiction.
11. Changes
We may change the site, or stop offering any part of it, at any time. We may also change these terms. When we do, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Using the site after that means you accept the new terms.
12. General
- If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a part of these terms, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
- We may transfer these terms to a company that takes over our business. You may not transfer them.
- These terms are the whole agreement between you and VeriCorr about the site. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Neither replaces a signed agreement between VeriCorr and your company.
